TV Window
I envisage the three windows as three screens, attempting to overlay the spatiality of the shop window with that of the screens. By juxtaposing the window frames with the screen borders, I aim to discuss the physical and virtual frames: do digital images possess margins? We are accustomed to viewing images on screens; are the borders of the screen also the borders of the image, and what do the inside and outside of the frame represent? Screens transform into shop windows, and within the screens, both shop windows and screens appear, thus exploring the physical spatial objects and virtual image space. Screens within screens imply the appearance of virtual images within illusions, a recursion of illusions, questioning whether images point to reality or become increasingly illusory. Furthermore, the screens within screens subtly resonate with the screens within the physical space, within the shop windows. The monochromatic hues on the left and right of the screens, resembling green screens and blue screens, fill the space between the frames (window frames) and the borders (screen borders), akin to the layered background of digital images—flat yet brimming with spatial possibilities.
